Abu Dhabi Campus
NYU Abu Dhabi's Downtown Campus officially opened its doors in December 2009. It was located a block from the Corniche, the Cultural Center, and the Al Hosn Fort in the center of Abu Dhabi, and housed nearly all of NYUAD's academic activities while the permanent Saadiyat Island campus was under development.
In May 2014, the new Saadiyat Island campus opened its doors and hosted the university's inaugural commencement. Ever since, it is a home to students and scholars from around the world.
